Farmall Temperature gauge

I have a temperature gauge I bought for my h and it doesn't fit. The best I can tell it has a 3/8 threaded fitting that goes not the block. My h needs a 5/8. Anyway, does someone know what this gauge with the 3/8 fitting goes to? I think a cub has been ruled out... I'm stumped unless its a c.

You can get a brass fitting with a 3/8 female and 5/8 male to adapt to your block

I already Replaced it, I just want to know what this 3/8 one will fit. Finding a 5/8 fitting isn't easy at all.

Every H I have had has had an adapter between the head and the
temp gauge tip as GordoSD described.

Same here. Every tractor on the farm that has a temperature gauge, has an adapter for the temperature probe.

I'll upload pics I guess, but I will have to use 3 adapters at this point. Really frustrated. I guess I need a 5/8 to 3/8 bushing and that's about impossble to find.... Surely someone has run into this??

I figured it out ,there are two types of threads for the temp gauge. I purchased coarse but currently have fine thread. Luckily my neighbor had a Kit that sent both types for the conversion. FYI there are two types. If you poke me I will upload photos.
