Farmall M 3 point hitch plans.

Does anyone have a set of plans or template for a 3 point hitch on a Farmall M? Would like to build it myself. Thanks

I am not aware of any measured drawings or plans for a 3pt hitch. Either people buy them ready-made, or they "barnyard engineer" the hitch right on the tractor.

Some of us did grow up to be engineers, but we never got that "torch, welder, a pile of scrap metal, and a good imagination" mentality out of our systems.

I've built several M/H three points.Never used "plans".Each one was a little different.Go look at some hitches,measure and draw some pics.Any questions,call(970)417-1178(cell) or email.Steve

I have one I started but never finished after I painted my M and installed a loader. The loader interfered with the hitch so I put the drawbar back on. They show up almost weekly on the classifieds around 350. I think youd be hard pressed to build one for that if you had to buy everything.

Go to the photo archives and do a search for dansuper27 and you can see the side plate I made that will allow you to mount the parts from a 350 thru 560 hitch. Makes the hitch look almost factory. On my M I"m doing what I did on my 856 with the Fasthitch.....making a adapter so it can do both. So it will be complete with all Fasthitch parts rather than the 3 point arms I have now..that solves the sway control issue and gives you the best of both worlds. Look at the 856 pics to see what I mean.

Woops.. the 856 Fasthitch to 3 point quick hitch is on the Red Power site.
