Adding super A lift to normal A

Hi,

I was wondering if its easy to add on the lift to an A and make it like a super A. Was there a kit made now or then?

Mark

No. The blocks between an a and super a are different. You would need the block for mounting the hydraulic pump.

No kits were made. You need to change blocks and the bell housing. Then adding pump and the rockshaft assy with controls you would have one. Getting parts at a salvage yd mite be easy or it could be expensive. Mite need to get a salvage SA and using your A parts make one. I bought a B someone used the C parts so it is just like a C as far as the complete hy system. I use the rockshafts and have two ground driven planter units for sweetcorn.

Mark,
From an earlier post I think you were looking for a cultivator setup. Not sure if this hydraulic setup could be usde with cultivators, but with some engineering it probably could.
This 3pt. works well for me. I use it for the planter, ripper, potato plow, hillers, and carry-all. It has down force and will lift the rear of the tractor off the ground.
Best Regards,
Charli

No, the engine is not equipped to mount the pump, and the main bellhousing casting is not equipped to mount the lift components. However, you can easily add an auxilary pump, such as a power steering pump, and valves, to work a cylinder for implements and or a rear hitch.
