Hi guys , I followed all of your hints and my w4 still won't run on it's own . Itruns fine at hight and low throttle when I squirt gas in carb . I have had the crab apart and cleaned it well with carb cleaner . The gov rod is in place , so now I'm looking to purchase a good bolt on carb . please email what you have and where you live -- thanks

The vacum seems good since it will run on squited gas. I don't know how to check if the gas is getting from the float chamber to the ventura, but I did clean everything good .

Is the fuel filling the carb float bowl. There is a drain on the bottom of the carb to allow flow testing, (and draining) Put a can under the drain, and open it. Then turn on the fuel under the tank. If fuel comes out (at least a gallon) in a steady 1/8th inch stream, the carb is getting fuel. (use a clean pan to catch the gas)
if the fuel does not come out, or is 1 cup a minute, it will never run till it has the delivery lines and sediment bowl cleaned. (especially the hole into the tank)
If it flows well, there is a plugged up jetin the carb. Full submersion in new carb cleaner And cleaning every passage with a thin wire is part of the ordeal. Many posts on methods and techniques in the archives. Jim

If you have good flow from tank to carb. Remove the tube fitting where your gas line connects and look for a screen that may be plugged. Make sure that main jet adjusting scr?w is opened enough near the bottom of the carburetor. Hal
