Farmall H Generator Bracket

I have now got nearly all the parts to fit a Delco-Remy generator and regulator to my 1940 Farmall H, but I have run into a problem. The bracket (50384 D) does not fit. The bolt holes in the cylinder head are nearly an inch further apart than the holes in the bracket. Was there more than one bracket for Farmall H tractors? Was there a different bracket for kerosene tractors? Thanks in advance,

Over here the H and SH used the same bracket on the ones I have
had apart. I can send you one if it will fit your tractor, just let me
know the required bolt spacing and I'll check on mine. Got another
H in for parts but the fan pulley is cracked on it too.

Suspect the bracket may actually be for a M tractor. M bracket has the holes about 1 inch closer distance brtween hole spacing than a H.
Just a guess but think I remember a H head bolt space center to center is about 3-5/8 or 3-3/4 inch.

Yes, that is the same thing I have found. The H and M generator brackets are not interchangeable.

Thanks everyone! The bracket I have has holes at 2¾" apart - centre to centre, must be for a Farmall M. Sounds like I need the other bracket at 3 & 9/16"! The Farmall M and AM brackets here are completely different, because they are set up for a Lucas generator and have provision to bolt on the regulator directly beneath the generator. Thanks for the offer Zach, I'll send you an e-mail.
