put straw in a friends barn today

A friend of mine had 4 chopper boxes full of straw that need to be put up in the barn and after discussing our options we opted to use my 1941 H and his 1943 H. I have a rebuilt engine so I got blower duties and he is stock and got to do the unloadind duties. We only got 2 of the boxes unloaded before we got some rain. If anyone wants to see some pics and maybe a video or to I will try to get some tomorrow as we finish our project.

bales are already stacked in the one side and we only use those in the winter time. We chop wheat straw and use that in the summer time. Only every 3 or 4 years we have to put chopped straw in the barn.

We used to do that a long, long time ago when I was real little.

Dangerous stuff. The dry coarse material would plug the blower easily. One time the blower blew up and sent parts flying up in the air. Dad realized something was wrong and was trying to shut off the blower when it came apart. The band clamp handle came down right past his nose and landed at his feet.

Not to mention increased fire hazard.
