Having an issue with oil coming out of exhaust. Sprays all over hood. Engine was not laboring for the day, was running idle and fast idle most of the day. Temp gauge does not come up much so I hope thermostat not allowing engine to come up to temp and in as much as not running hard, oil got by? Engine does not smoke on start up, when it has been running for awhile and you throttle up there is some blue smoke for a bit. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply, I have not had one of these before, was hopeful the lack of work on the engine had something to do with it. We worked a tractor pull with it simply towing the big boys around the pits all day long. It did not work hard at all. Plan to attach a brush cutter to it next and do some work.

jimB2 is correct. It is water condensation and a mix of soot and volatiles. It will dry in a while to a black stain. It is from cols engine parts condensing water and carbon. Work it on a Mill, or pull a plow, or bush hog as fast as the engine will take it without bogging. Then it will be OK till you idle it around more then it will slobber more. It is not a gas engine, and it needs to work to run well. Jim

I use ih motor oil from dealer and mines slobbers less. Cheap oil makes it worse or when oil is about ready to be changed. Dont know why dealer said ih oil is thicker. Mine eas bought new by my grandfather has about 2000the hrs aleays been tbat way
