Farmall A with a Fairbanks Morse FM-J

I'm trying to work some gremlins out of my, mainly a miss.

You probably remember my message about carburetors, I think I've got that wrapped up or at least a handle on it.

It's still not quite right so I though I might try another magneto. The only extra one I have is a Fairbanks Morse FM-J that's on another A. I know this not the usual setup, first one I had ever seen.

Is there anything special I need to know about it before I try swapping it over? I know plug #1 is in a different spot but that should be pretty easy to figure out.

Thanks,

K

Should pretty much be a straight bolt on thing as long as you get it timed right that is. If you need a manual for the FM-J mag send me an e-mail and I can then send you one I have in this computer. Only thing it will cost you is your time. That is common mag used on AC B and C tractors

I would happy to send you an email if I knew what your address was.

Thanks,

I always post it on this site. If on classic you should see a send e-mail in the bottom of the box or in in modern you should be able to click on my name and that will get you there also.
[email protected]
If that makes it easier for you

It's kind of funny, I went back to Classic to make sure but you email address wasn't enabled there either, might have just been a fluke.

Anyway, I'll get an email out in a few minutes,

Thanks!

Ya to get to it you need to pull up the whole post and then go down to my post and you will see send e-mail. If you just click on my answer it will not be there. Any how you should have it soon
