I 300 or I 350

How does one tell the difference between an I300 and I350? I just bought what I thought was an I300 but is painted like an I350. Serial no. is 31369. I was told that 25000 of the I300's were made starting with serial no. 501 so can't get to 31369!

A quick check is the steering wheel, the 300 does not have the spokes in the steering wheel covered, the 350 has the same covering as the rim, I am assuming the covering began with 350 production.

The model # is shown on the SN tag.That should tell you,unless the tag is 'unreadable'...

Hi Salty,
Another difference is engine, 300U had a C-169 and 350U had a C-175. Although we had a late model 300U with a C-175 engine.

Engine's real easy to identify too. The model is cast into the block.

Serial number is to high for it to be a 350.

THe fast hitch on 300 has hyd cyl on it's side beside the seat; the 350 has a vertical hyd lift cylinder.and the recievers are diferent.
