Swapping Generator for Alternator on 450

I just bought a rebuilt late '60's Delco alternator for my 450 LP, to replace the Delco generator that was in need of extensive repairs. Only one problem: it is not a perfect bolt-in, since the mounting flanges on the alternator are thicker, by about an inch, than on the old generator. I would rather not booger up the original mounting bracket, in case I want to make it look oem in the future....does anybody make mounting kits for these applications? Thanks.

Auto parts store may have an alternator mounting braket, I think it is used on an engine with headers but looks like it should work, might have to drill some holes in it

On some a person can simply remove the generator bracket turn it up side down bolt it back on then use a long bolt and spacers/nuts etc to mount the alternator. Been to many years since I did one on a 450 to remember for sure so just taking a educated guess from things I have done in the past

Old is correct. Bracket up side down and a piece of 3/8 all tread. Nuts and washers for adjustment.

Thanks to all for the help! I ended up trying flipping the bracket with washers and all-thread--it worked! Also thanks for the other sources, Red Power and Agri Services, I'm sure I'll need them before this project is done. Hugh
