Delco vertical distributor lube?

What is supposed to be in the chamber where the drive gears are located? Oil or grease? Had to convert my old M yesterday, so I used Lubriplate grease, Got me wondering what should be in there.

I have no specific lube information for the Delco distributor vertical drive. But I'd think any good grease - and that includes Lubriplate - will work fine.
