Baled hay with my smta in oct. and the t/a worked fine, Parked it for the last few months, started it up today and the low side of the t/a stopped working. I thought it would give me some kind of warning,PLEASE HELP

Sometimes if the trans oil is milky it will freeze or not allow the ramp and rollers to work. Check that first. You will probably need new oil anyway. Jim

When the oil thickens beyond a certain viscosity, the rollers can't travel far enough to bind up on the ramp.

You need to wait for warmer temperatures or reload with fresh Hy-Tran. After reloading don't expect immediate results. It may take awhile for the TA to flush out or dilute all the old lubricant.

What did you put in the transmission the last time you changed the oil?

It's supposed to get HyTran, but sometimes people don't bother to ask/look-it-up and ASSUME it takes heavy gear lube like all the other letter series.
