my brother has a super c today while pulling a
wagonload of fire wood there was alittle pop then no
more going the clutch seems to be working ok is
this a problem of axle and or final drive or ring
gear or what are c's noted for this snapping axles

I would have to believe that is in the rear end. Whatever the case would assume the rear end is coming apart to fix it.

Are you sure he didn't twist the center out of clutch drive disk? That would be the first thing I would check.

If the engine continues to run with the clutch pedal up I would think you could try idling the engine with the tractor in gear and see if you can kill it with the brakes. If the brakes have no effect on the engine then you know the bull pinions are not turning and the problem is ahead of them, in the differential or the transmission or the input shaft or the clutch. If the engine bogs down then that would tell you that the pinions are turning and the problem is somewhere in the final drives or axles. I think this should work but I may be wrong, if I am I hope someone will correct me.

Zack he said they were pulling and it made a small pop. If you break an axle or someting in rearend under load they make a loud noise. If you twist the center out of a drive disk everything including input shaft will not turn but engine will run and clutch petal will fell like you have a clutch.

All suggestions below are good.
You could also check whether the PTO still works. The PTO is driven by the primary (input) shaft of the transmission, which, in turn, is driven by the long shaft that runs from the clutch to the transmission (through the torque tube).
There are one or more holes in the underside of the torque tube. Peek up and see if the shaft is turning.

thanks a pile to all he did happen to put the pto in gear and it did move so i guess that narrows it to the bull pinions or something there about thanks again

Dollar to a doughnut you"ve broken an axle.Sold many of them over the years. If right side has broken, check bull gear hub, also PTO unit oil supply tube for damage.

If you need a rearend, I will have one. 51 SC. It is a parts tractot and was alledged when I bought it that the rear end had been gone through.
