If you just wipe it on with a rag,not really. It will sort of soften the top layer of rubber and clean it up nice. If you would SOAK/submerse rubber/a tire in gasoline it will destroy it! lol

On a WARM day,If you take automatic trans fluid and wipe your tires down,they will have a nice,black shine to them. We used to do old equipment we painted up like this all the time.

so......what are the specifics to doing this?? I believe I'd like to try it, as it sounds like it would work well. Are there bad gas fumes after doing so, though?
