No fuss, belt pully gearbox dropped right in

I got this from ebay last month and had to fight for it. There was another guy who kept trying to outbid me till the end, but I finally won. I'm posting this for the benefit of the newbes like me who don't much about farmalls (like me). I was a bit intimidated at first, but to my surprise it went like clockwork. Although I will probably never use it, I felt the M was not complete without it.

The output shaft was leaking a bit, so I replaced the seal which was also fairly easy to do too. I did have to make the control rod. (Easy)

Works like a charm.

You may be able to sell your delete plate to recoup some of the
costs. I know I often get asked for them but have never had one on
any tractor that came in.

(quoted from post at 05:49:21 02/02/13) What have you got that you wanted the belt pulley installed?
Nothing really. It's like my 4x4 dodge ram. I very, very seldom use the 4 wheel drive, but I have the blessed assurance that it's there if ever I do need it. But honestly, I'd like to see it run a saw mill some day. I just feel like my tractor looks more complete now.

I have two units for and H and one for an M laying out in the shed. Hated those belly busters all the years I was working on customers tractors. Squeezing in between them and tire and I am a small guy. Took them off mine, made a plate.
