Well I picked up this 140 back in the first week of January or so. I guess I havent had it too long. Anyways, I had to tear the motor down and resleeve #1, rering the other 3. I had the head redone. Now its back together. She wasnt getting spark, turns out the points were corroded. I sanded them and she fired right up. Carb is kind of screwy.
I thought the clutch was stuck, so I tried to break it free by driving it in first gear, hit the clutch down and stomp on both brakes. Needless to say, this tractor with the 123 motor and high altitude pistons has was more grunt than my A with flat top pistons and a 113.
Come to find out, the pressure plate has a broken finger so, I need to replace it, and the clutch while Im at it.

You can put 3.250" pistons in that block along with new sleeves without any machining to the block. Cleaning the points will usually cause them to fire. Hal
