widening 300 utility front tires

I am trying to get ready for a plow day this Saturday and I need to widen my front tires.

I have followed all the steps and they wont budge. I know it is probably rusted from time, but I have been spraying Kroil oil for a day or so.

Any tricks to get the adjustable axle to move?

Thanks in Advance

After the pin is removed and the clamp is loosened try
bumping the tire against a curb or chunk of wood. That should
get the axle to rotate breaking the rust bond on the inside.
Don't twist the axle too much or you could bend the tie rod.

Take the clamps off. Wedge open the slots in the outer tube using chisels. put a 4X4X8 oak or hard wood timber vertical in front of the spindle. Chain the bottom to the bottom of the spindle, and lean the top rearward touching the top of the spindle. Lock the brakes and put it in low direct.
Put a come along to the top of the rear tire to the top of the timber. Support the axle with cribbing to keep it from falling. Apply reasonable rearward force on the timber, twisting the inner (smaller) axle in the outer (bigger) tube. Whack the area where the clamp was located with a 4 to 6 pound sledge. When it begins to break free, stop and put more juice on it. Jim
