I have a '45 B. When I got it, it was starting fine and running fine. Now I sometimes have troubles getting it to fire, as well as sometimes going down the road at full throttle it will shut off almost like I had bumped the ignition switch. It is an instant kill. The starter seems to be working just fine. There are times that I try to keep starting it and think that I need to choke it some, so I'm sure I am flooding it a few times as well when maybe that isn't the problem.
I have a suspicion that it might be something in the wiring. It was converted to a 12 volt system, but I have no idea if it is postive or negative grounded.
Has anybody experienced anything like this before and what did you do to remedy? Electrical isn't my expertise. Thanks in advance!
