Oil Drain Plug Size on 706 Gasser?

Went to change the oil on my 706 gasser yesterday and couldn"t get the drain plug out/off. I used a big vice grip...but was just rounding off the nut...what size it it?? I"ve got a 1" socket, but guess I"ll need a 1 1/8", right, a breaker bar and a long pipe!! Thanks, Cmore

Make sure you are turning the right way... don't ask me how this comes to mind.

1 1/8 is it.A standard box-end wrench should do it.When it comes loose,it will knock you on your butt!LOL

Better use a 6 point on it if you have rounded it already.
