I have what i think is a farmall 100 , ON the tag on the left side sitting on the tractor of clutch housing are the numbers 12623. I am trying to figure out what i have. It has a 100 hood but the exhaust and oil pipe holes looks like it was cut with a hammer and chisel.

It could very well be a Farmall 100. The serial number is correct for 1955, and the ser. # location is also right. Maybe someone replaced the engine with something totally different. A picture would be nice, but post the engine serial number that is found on the milled flat spot just below the number one spark plug including the letters before the number, and we can determine if the motor has been replaced.

the casting codes and serial number will date the tractor the best. Just gather all (as many as you can find) casting codes (numbers with a letter) and we can determine the year those parts were cast, determine what has possibly been replaced, and distinguish between the Farmall 100 and 130 since the 130 would have probably used that serial number too.

FYI....the numbers with an "R1, R2, R92, etc" are not casting codes; those are the part numbers.

Post back with what you find!
