Trying to save some iron, what would fair prices be?

Trying to save some red iron for a friend of a friend, what might good prices be? Not that familiar with scrap prices, but I wanted to come up with prices - less than scrap, so the iron can go to a good home.
The power units, is one an H and the other a Cub? Would $100 per power unit be a fair price and attractive enough to save them?
What is a Satoh S-650G tractor? Would $500 be less than scrap?
Waiting for pictures but there is also an H and an A. He is hoping for quite a bit more for the cub because he knows it runs.

Tractors depend on tires, but the cub as is, loose motor and usable tires is at least a 1500 tractor, if not more.

Key question about power units is are they loose?
That said, Id say 100 is a lot cheaper than a rebild kit, or even rings, so yes, to the right person they'd be worth saving, enen just for parts.

Good luck, looks like some interesting stuff.

I would be interested in the larger power unit, if suitable transportation is available. Where are the units located? Thanks...Darald

"Knowing" that the tractor runs vs. actually running are two different things. Actually running makes the tractor a lot more valuable. If he wants good money for the Cub, he has to make it run for a potential buyer. Otherwise it's worth <$500.
