It did not take long to find that Jim N was right and there is a ton of slop in the bracket on the axle where the control arm attaches for the IPTO. I removed the fender and the bracket. The nut threaded on the end that holds the control arm on was stripped...I mean NO threads left...and the threaded end of the pivot arm is bushed over from someone pounding on it AND smooth from being stripped. I think I can tap this with smaller threads but it is going to be a chore. The key looks fine but there has to be some reason for the slop so I guess I replace that on spec. I cannot see any other reason for the slippage. IF someone has something to add I would be happy to listen. Appreciate the help so far.
