I wrote in before while the hydrilics leaking in to the engine the seals were out on the pump thanks for the help there. Now im try to get the TA to work when i move the TA leaver all it does is grinds IS the TA out or do I need to adjust it. I really want to fix this up good but I really dont want to put a TA in it. Thanks for any help

Need to know a little more. Are you saying you pull ta lever back and tractor stops moving while you hear a grinding noise. If so, over running clutch (ramp & rollers) are shot. If you mean when tractor is not moving (in neutral with engine running) and it grinds when you pull lever back, the fingers are worn so much in pins that throw out bearing contacts dry clutch. An adjustment might get you by for a while in that case but doubtful .

It'll run practically forever with the TA lever forward if you keep it adjusted.

But if you want to fix it up good, you really need to at least replace the ramp and rollers in the TA. That may be all it needs, and will be far cheaper than a whole new TA.

On the other hand, a whole new TA will outlast you, your children, and your grandchildren's children. If you were plowing for 16 hours a day, 6 days a week you'd need to replace it eventually, but not with the normal hobbyist/collector usage.

If the PTO does not work under load, the issue might be that the splines are worn off of the TA and PTO drive splines (pressure plate, and TA input, Jim
