T 340 Serial Number Location

Hello all. Just picked up an International T 340 Crawler and started working on it as it had water in the oil.
Anyway, my question is about the SN location. I have looked at the bell housing and no number. However, i found a number on the side of the engine block in raised numbers right about (partially behind)the filter location on the left side of the block.
That number is 369169R1. I need to know if this is the right number as i need to buy parts for it and the best i can determine there were two versions of the C 135 engine and the break was about SN 100,501 ??
Any help on this is appreciated.
 
Any cast-in number is NOT going to be a serial number. The number ending in R1 is a casting number for the engine block, which may or may NOT be the part number for the block.

Serial numbers will ALWAYS be STAMPED, and NOT cast as part of the main assembly. SOME International engines--and I don't know if the C-135 is one of them or not--have a machined pad on the side of the block, near the front, just below the head. This is where the ENGINE serial number will be stamped. Replacement blocks were not always stamped, so if it IS a replacement block, it may not be stamped.

According to the internet source i found, the SN was supposed to be on the bell housing on the right side of the engine.
I did find a flat spot there that has absolutely nothing on it, i used a wire brush in my air tool to clean that spot and nothing.
I then found another website that showed a pic of that spot and it looks like there should have been a data plate glued to that flat spot, which in my case is gone. So back to the drawing board.
I will pull the pan today and look for clues there. I pulled the head already and found nothing except there is a hairline CRACK in the block between piston 1 and 2 and I think that is how the water got in the oil pan.
