1940 Farmall M wiring

I am thinking of replacing my wiring harness on my
M. Everything except the battery cables. I think I
have narrowed my vendors down to either O.E.M. or
The Brillman company. Has anyone used either vendor
before and is the quality good? I am wanting it to
be as close to original as possible, within reason.
 
I used Brillman for an H, I think it is good quality. Modern wiring covered in cloth insulation for appearances. Although I will say I had use their instructions plus another wiring diagram off the the internet to get everything hooked up correctly.
 
Is the generator still orignal and voltage reg cuase if things have been changed no wiring harness will be fun to replace.
 
Great then you should still have a cut-out on the gen. Just make sure when you order a new harness to get one for a cut-out.

If you ever get further south or we get up north we need to meet up again and talk shop. Come down to Florida Flywheelers next February and you will love the IHC building (even if on the Dark Side lol) and exhibits.

Download a GOOD wiring diagram, such as from Bob M, go buy some wire and some terminals, and make your own wiring harness. You"ll end up with a very good understanding of how the whole electrical system works.
 
You can get harnesses from CaseIH that are actually cheaper--I have bought a couple and see nothing wrong with them.
