Update to IH 27 baler opinions...

Thanks for all the info on the 27 IH baler, I passed on that one. Two days later 2 NHs showed up not 4 miles from my farm, a Super 67 and a # 68. I looked at both and bought the 68 for $600.00. Got it home , cleaned and greased, looked it all over and then broke up 2 round bales to try it out on. Works nice, no misses and makes a great bale. From everything I see on it looks to be lightly used. Gonna sharpen all knives and go with it. Glad I waited, thanks again for the advice given ! Mike

That's a great price. In NE Kansas any kind of working baler brings a $1000 if the seller knows what they are doing. I sold a John Deere 14T that I guarenteed not to tie on one side and still got $600 for it as a parts unit.

the old 68's are great old balers. we have been using one for many years and it keeps on going.

Baled 110 today of heavy tall swamp grass and she never missed a beat or a knot ! I couldnt believe the size of the windrows it would take in, and made nice bales out of it too. Very Happy !
