1950 'H' Clutch Problem

I posted a few days ago; the long adjustment rod on the side of the H has to be unthreaded all the way, leaving only one thread into the clutch pedal bracket. In tht position, there is 1" free travel of the pedal, which appears correct.
I have taken everything apart.
Clutch; The clutch itself has 1/8" material on each side, and no rivets scored through. Surfaces are glazed, though. Looks OK, but I have no idea.
Bearing; Had been lubed, turns real smooth, is the same thickness etc. as the one at the CNH dealer. It looks just fine.
Bolts; No obvious wear, nothingloose, nothjing sheared, nothing plainly wrong.
Any ideas, guys??

I wonder if there was an auburn clutch in it that was changed to a Rockford. I tried to change one on a B & had linkage problems like that.

Could it be that the 'step' wasn't ground the last time the flywheel was resurfaced?I've seen that done...

I guess if it works the way you have it with one thread holding cut the rod and weld in a piece half and inch or so to lengthen the rod. That would be an easy fix. But it sounds to me like you need some new parts and the flywheel resurfaced.

You've mentioned every thing but the pressure plate.

Is there any adjustment to the pressure plate fingers?

Did this problem occur over time or did it come about after having the clutch out?

If the clutch was out and now cannot be adjusted correctly the disk is probably on backwards. If it occurred over time look for worn release bearing and/or carrier or worn out clutch levers and pins.

Is the problem with the clutch that it is slipping or dragging ?

Usually when you run out of adjustment you need a new disk and pressure plate.
