Miss fireing H

I have 2 Hs that miss, fire one is worse than the other. One has a reconditioned head and new rings and spark plugs. The other one is worse and have not done anything to the engine, new spark plugs don't make any difference. Is the carb not set right or is there something with the spark? Both are battery ignition, one is 6 votl and the other one is 12 volt.

That can be many things. Valves not set right or a bad rotor and or cap or bad distributor bushings etc etc. Check your spark at all 4 plug wires and make sure it is a good blue white and will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. Also check that the points open to the same gap on all four lobes of the distributor

Set all the valves at .020" cold. If the engine has a miss under load open the main jet adjusting screw on the carburetor. It may being running too lean. Hal

Sine youve had all of that apart, you might want to recheck those plug wires and make sure they are in the right position.
