Seat for M

Am looking to replace seat on my M, see there are canvas or vinyl covered available. What are the pro's and con's of these two options? There has been no cover on mine. Also assume they are made with foam padding instead of horse hair.Thanks for any input.

Matter of preference I suppose. Canvas is original, vinyl may be more comfortable, though certainly a lot slicker. Mine has been recovered by Darrel Darst in canvas similar to the originals...

The canvas is original and you can find them in black and white...I have the white canvas on my M because it's "original" but in the matter of a couple months its covered in dirt, stained, and has gone from gleaming white to a yellow/brown. Not a huge deal because its not a trailer queen but next time i'm going with the black canvas. I heard the vinyl cracks and rips easier, it's cheaper but there's a reason for it.

I don't like the vinyl ones especially in hot weather. My butt sweats and is wet when I get off. With the canvas ones that doesn't happen. Roger
