International 1586 and chisel plows

In my shopping for a plow for the 1586 I have come across a Glencoe soil saver chisel plow, 7 shank, that has been offered for sale. Have not seen yet but seller says good condition and ready for field. Can I pull this? We aren't talking sod here, the fields get chiseled yearly by the tenant. Need to go look at it and come up with a value. I see an 11 shank sold for 2400 on a consignment here about two weeks ago. Any opinions are appreciated, I have pulled moldy boards with horses and tractors but now I find myself in uncharted waters.

I pulled a 9 shank with 4 inch twisted shovels with a 1086.

You can handle the same or more if you have enough weight on the 1586.

Any idear what a Glencoe soil saver 7 shank might be worth? I hates this stuff, you give a guy $2K for something and then see a better one go down the road on a consignment sale for $1K two weeks later. Not that I'm cheap but I need something left over for lunch on the way home.

7's are hard to come by. I searched for one for a couple months before I grabbed one. I payed 3500 for a krause last fall. I'd say a glencoe is worth that. Your 1586 will play with it, but it's nice having the extra power /weight in hills, highly compacted ground, etc. You just put it down and go.
