Help me to understand, some people call it Regular A and some say Straight A still some say A. What is it actually called? Or are there this many tractors? I am looking for the cultivators to under my A, and I am running across these names. Does anyone have a picture or spare set laying around that they could part with? My tractor is used on less than 1/4 acre garden plot.

Thanks
James

The words "regular" or "straight" are modifiers to make it clear that it is not a Super A.

A = Regular A = Straight A

There was only an 'A' and a Super A Farmall.
The 'A' did not have hydraulics and the Super A did.
The 'A' began 1939 and the Super began in later 1947 or 1948.

I can probably scare up a set of cultivators, the trick is lift levers. You likely need a manual lift lever and most of them out there will have set of levers for use with the lift-all system. Don't get taken advantage of in that regard. I do not have the manual lift lever that you'll need.

I've got a set of cultivators that I wish someone would get out of my shed. I don't have handles either as mine was hooked up with farmerized hydraulics. I'm never going to use the things. I thought it might be neat to have the implements that came with the tractor. Now the plow is yard art and the cultivators are in the way.

Give me until later today and Ill find a number of a guy in Winston Salem who may just have a set. I also know a guy on another forum who is in NC who may be able to help.

Did you happen to find the number for the guy with cultivators? If you can"t, don"t sweat it. Thanks for the attempt.

James
