Have you checked ebay? I have in the past seen them listed there. Not sure if any are listed there now. Worth a try.

Try to find one wihtout all the grooves already scored into it. Some are scored pretty deep, and you have to have them turned, then you lose toomuch material. Not sure how you find one like that, but if you can...

Be aware that there are 2 different styles. The early style uses a woodruff key to secure it to the pinion shaft. The late style is of the splined design. You definitely want the splined style for a '49.

If you don't find one I could. But it wouldn't be fast. Don't go out enough since retirement to ship but every now and then. Just checking to see if you pass my area sometimes and didn't know how fast you wanted one. About 50 miles south of mineral wells and off I-77 4 or 2 miles depending on the exit.
