Wanting to replace original alt.w/external reg.to a 10SI with internal reg. What wireing needs to be done other than changeing the wireing at the alt. plug? I have done this before,but can not remember. Thanks

1 - At the alternator connect the heavy wire to the 10SI's "BAT" post.

2 - Run a short jumper wire from the "BAT" post to the 10SI's #2 aux terminal.

3 - At the old voltage regulator plug, remove the wire from the #4 position. Relocate it to the 10SI's #1 aux terminal.

Disconnect/tape the other wiring at the old regulator plug. Make sure the alternator idiot light comes on when you turn on the ignition and you'll be good to go!
