farmall 400 diesel

we have a 400 diesel that's dumping fuel into the injector pump crankcase. is this an indication that the seal is bad on the lift pump/supply pump behind the injector pump?

Matt, I had that happen and it turned out to be the return line check valve was stuck. I freed it up and no more leaking. oldiron29

that is correct. but just change the oil often in the injection pump, as it is not a big deal on these old tractors. as they do not get worked hard day after day.
or just spend the money to fix it .

yeah this thing will fill slap up when its parked I haven't even ran it but maybe an hour and drained 1 gallon of fuel out. so if its the check valve where is it located?
