Magneto drive coupling timing

I had to remove the mag. drive housing to replace an oil seal. And like a dumb butt I didn't think of checking the timing on it before removal. (senior moment) Now that I'm ready to reinstall the drive housing, I'm not sure of the timing for the drive coupling.

Here is what the driving lugs look like when the mag. is set to fire on no. l. As you can see it is at about the 2:45, almost horizontal.

So now, should the mating drive coupling be a mirror image of it after re-installation, say at about 3:15? That's my guess. This all of course is when the engine is set at TDC.

It's a freshly rebuilt magneto from Weaver's Magneto Repair.

TIA

Patrick, not quite sure how the thread got separated, but Haas replied with pretty much the correct method (posted as a separate thread). The good thing about the H4 mag is that you have only 2 options (if everything else is right). It is dead on, or 180 degrees out. there are no other options (unlike the F4 mag on the F series tractors).

Hi Tom. The magneto is good to go. All I need to know now is at what clock position should the mating drive coupler be for the drive housing when engine is at TDC.

Thanks and best regards
