Mag to Distributor Super A

Is it possible to replace a magneto with a simple distributor on a Super A.

Yes. You can also turn your mag into a distributor of sorts by wiring it up so the points turn the coil on and off

On the battery ignition the on/off switch feeds battery power to the ignition system to operate it when turned on. On the Magneto system the wire from the magneto to the switch actually shorts it to ground to turn it off. And the switch is open to make it run.

Yes, but why? You can get your mag rebuilt for what it will cost for a good distributor. With a rebuilt mag, it will run for a very long time with minimal maintenance. And...no battery needed.
