Question for you guys, Someone on E-Bay has A "High Performance Manifold" listed, states for a propane tractor, but claims will boost performance on gas, Really?, or is this guy just blowing smoke? Mine is a 53 Super H, would something like this make it a Super Super H ? Just kidding !

A propane manifold can improve performance slightly. However you'll need an accurate dynamometer to measure the improvement. It will NOT "wake up" your tractor enough that you'd otherwise notice!

Also there's a downside: A propane manifold can cause poor running under cold, humid conditions. And especially so with the crappy "ethanol enhanced" gas we're now forced to use.

My 3 rib that is just installed frosted up in about 5 min at 20 degrees and fairly humid.

It's a easy remedy. Take a stove pipe just a little larger than muffler and make tube from stove pipe to top of air cleaner stack and suck warm air from around muffler. I have one I put on in fall and take off in summer stops the problems of frost and carb runs nice and warm.
