The shifter rail and fork are not moving the 3rd and 4th slider far enough to engage the lower gears properly. As a result those gears are badly damaged. The rail seems to be engaging the detent properly. Help. Also where would I find these parts. Thanks

Basically you're just going to have to take it apart and replace all that stuff along with anything else you find wrong along the way...

The gears and forks and such can be found at any tractor salvage yard. Parts from an A, B, or BN will work.

Bearings, gaskets, etc. you will want to buy new. Bearings might be cheaper if you cross reference them at the local bearing supply house. Check your yellow pages.

Bent or worn forks and fork grooves in the sliding gears are one possibility. Worn thrust washers or mis positioned counter shaft could be another. Donor tractors are probably the best source. Jim
