Paint question

I posted this question in the paint section but was told this section might be more of help. I was wondering which rustoleum red matches case ih red the closest? I"m not talking 2150 red but Case IH red. I"m thinking either regal red or sunrise red. Safety red is too bright. And it"s impossible to get IH red from rustoleum around here. Thanks all!!!

I get rustoleum IH red from local hardware store. Matches 2150 perfectly. It's number 7466830. Your dealer should be able to order it for you. That's in a rattle can.

Go to your local Case-IH dealer. He'll have it in rattle cans, and the cost is probably not much different from Rustoleum.

Look at tractor paint they have I-H RED in the Rustoleum places ive used it and it lasts great looks good and doesent fade out thin with just good old paint thinner. You can spend lots of money on paint but Rustoleum I-H RED will give good service.

If you don't want 2150, which model are you painting? Paint from the CaseIH dealer is the best rattle can paint you can find anywhere. If you have a late model Farmall, your CaseIH dealer will have that paint too. The CaseIH paint for spray guns is an acrylic modified alkyd enamel, 2150 or later. Likely better than Rustoleum but not as good as that by PPG, Dupont, etc.

I am painting a 5088 International tractor, and they used Case IH gloss red, not 2150 which is what I am trying to match. Is the Case IH Iron Guard stuff to me used only with a spray gun? I don't really like rattle cans but will look into it. Thanks all!

I used Regal Red on this F-20.The SC is Regal red as well.

I guess what I am worried about most is using a paint gun, because I want it to look fairly decent, and the fact of using hardener scares me.
