Trying to get to transmission gears due to stuck in first gear. Slider bar frozen. Got top half of reservoir off but after all bolts out of bottom half it will not separate from tractor. Need suggestions on how to remove? Thanks!

Look CLOSELY for hidden bolts. If there are none,it is just stuck.A little 'force' is needed. Those covers are heavy. You will need a hoist.

From the Case IH parts store (link) put in 350 Utility in the find parts by Model, then from the list. select:
(350) - INTERNATIONAL UTILITY TRACTOR > (232) - CHASSIS, GEAR SHIFT MECHANISM, REAR FRAME AND HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR COVERS

This gives a picture of what is there. It looks like 16 bolts holding it down, but there could be more. It is also likely to be stuck down radically. It is also very heavy. Did you take off the small tower casting at the shifter to see if you could free things from there!?
Is the pressure off of the gear. (tractor can be moved forward and back an inch or so) Jim

The clutch works so I can drive it in first. Driving didn't help. Lifted the rear end and turn the wheels individually frontward and backward. Pulled against a tree and still nothing.

Couldn't find any hidden bolts. Does anyone know if there are dowel pins or does someone have a shops mural that can tell you how?

MANY years ago my dad and I had to pull the covers off on a 300U because of toooo much teflon tape.Plugged up the brass filter screen. The one you are texting about may have a position pin but I am not sure. Some careful prying with a pinch bar. Make yourself a thin sharp chissle to get under the lid. They are VERY heavy. Lifted the casting on a 450 and that weigh was close to a battle ship. Jeffcat
