cub grinds in gear

just got a cub good tractor but I step down on clutch its grinds in any gear just a little but with foot still on clutch I can shift in all the other gears and no grinding let off and clutch it again same grinding its adjusted all the way and no free play thanks cdv

Your pilot pushing is dry causing the transmission shaft to still spin with the clutch engaged. Some people have had luck trying to spray lube on it. Otherwise, the tractor has to be split.

The bushing thats part of the clutch adjustment is inside the housing and probaly has slipped as the bolt that locks it fast probably is worn. You need to split at the tranny to replace it then you will see why no pedal free play and clutch is not fully releasing. Just finished one with same problem.
