Felt seals?

How do you guys get the felt seals out after 60+ years???? I'm trying to replace the ones in the end of the axle housing around the axles on a super mta and they're stuck in there good!! Any tricks??? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

I assume you have the axle housing caps off. Just dig them out and replace them, CaseIH still has them.

Yep got the new seals on the bench and got the caps off but man do the old ones come out tough! I dug a little with a knife and it comes out in small little chunks... Good thing I have a few more cold ones in the fridge......
