Farmall Super H engine interchange info.

Hi. I know you guys can help me out with this one.
I have a lower end for a Farmall 240, that I don"t
need. I bought it for a customer and he ended up
skipping out on me. Here"s my question. I have a
"53 Super H, distillate tractor, that took water
down the stack and, after pulling it down and
looking at it, is pretty shot. I would like to
find another lower end that will fit, but I"m not
a Farmall guy, and don"t know what will
interchange with the Super H. To be clear, I want
to use what I have minus the stuck lower end.
Also.... If anybody needs a pretty clean lower end
for a 240, and you have something rebuildable for
my Super H, let"s make a trade!

Thanks,
Jamie

The words lower end mean various things to different people.
To me it means you have a good crank and good rods with either new or "very" usable bearings.
Nothing from a 240 engine will work on a Super H except the spark plugs. Jim

Ok... To clarify. I have a complete block assembly (block, crank, rods, pistons, oil pump, pan, camshaft, timing gears, etc. etc.), aka "lower end" as opposed to the top of the engine.

I know it won't fit anything on the Super H. That's why I'm offering to trade it. What I don't know is what IH/Farmall engines will fit in the Super H.

Is there anything else that will bolt up from later production years? What does a Super H engine interchange with?

I'm not an expert on the Farmall Super H engine succession family but I'm thinking the 300's and possibly the 350's might be a compatible exchange. There is considerable knowledge on this forum and if a suitable engine family is available I'm sure someone will advise, Hal.
