needing a part. for Farmall H

old popper

I need the pivot (I think that is what they call it) that is on the throttle rod to connect it to the governor linkage. I checked a couple of dealers with no luck, and didn't see what I needed on this site, or in Stieners. Where can I get this item, or do I have to have one made?
Thanks in advance....Dale

If you mean the little cast piece with three holes in it that rides on the little bracket that is held down by the head nuts I should have a couple of those around. I could sell you a complete assembly for $15 including postage if that would interest you. I'll post a picture if you're interested just to make sure I have the right part in mind.

Zach, the part I am talking about, rides on the rod from the throttle handle, and connects it to the governor linkage. It is worn bad, and has so much play that I cannot get the tractor to idle down. (the gizmo between the 2 springs).
Thanks, let me know if you have one.

Zach, I've been as confused as your are in what this item is to the point I got out my Farmall H part catalog which I'll bet you have also. The only item I can find between two springs is the governor control rod swivel part no. 51355D. If you look in your catalog or on-line in the CaseIH part diagrams it will be shown on page 96 in the governor controls in the Chassis, Engine Controls and Instruments section. It is item no. 19 in my catalog and appears to be a rather small item. As many H's as I believe you have parted out you should have that part unless you left them attached to the governor control rods. The part doesn't appear to be available in the CaseIH parts supply as I checked Messicks and the Parts Depot. Hope this helps with understanding what is being described as needed due to wear as it appears a salvage part is the only option, Hal.

I am not sure but I think I have one of those, I just need to dig through the parts area for it but I had a note from Old Popper that he is having one made and doesn't need it.

If that part is the one I think you are talking about, most likely everyone you find will be worn, but some might be less worn than others. I've considered just cutting off that worn pin and welding on a new piece made from a bolt or something.
