240 Utility front end folded, Will bolster and front end from 330 utility fit?

A 340 tractor is an H based system (300U and 350U are precursors. The engine is based on the C series tractor.
The 240 is based on the C with a C series engine.

Well, the front end may bolt on to the front of the engine, but that's about it. The steering mechanism is completely different between the two tractors. A 240 has the gearbox in the bolster, while a 330 has the gearbox at the steering column.
How did you manage to "fold" the front end on a 240U without destroying the rest of the tractor? I have one and it's pretty stout.

Could a 340 transmission be swapped for a 240 transmission ? Do the differentials have the same bolt pattern ?
