52 SA Final Drive vs 56 Farmall 100

Will the left side final drive of a 1952 Super A perfectly replace the left final drive on my 1956 Farmall 100? Thanks.

I think they made some changes to the 100 finals to strengthen them for the fast-hitch, but otherwise I would expect it to bolt up.

They changed to the toggle style brakes in '53. I believe that required a change to the housing. If the Super A housing you are looking at is the early style, the brakes probably won't fit.

I would suggest going to caseih parts site or messicks's site and compare a few part numbers between the two models. There could be some part number updates and still fit but there may be some obvious differences like the brakes as Jim mentioned.
