I restored this tractor last year yet it leaks constantly leaks from the overdrive oil seal on the front cover. It is the Behlen-type overdrive, but nowhere does it say "Behlen" on it. I believe it was made by sears, but I could be wrong. There are no words on it.
When I had the overdrive apart I replaced the original oil seal by measuring the I.D and O.D. It was trial and error until I found one that felt right. Since then it had always leaked from there and the U-joint throws oil everywhere.
My question is, is there a correct replacement out there or do I need to keep trying different oil seals. Any input on what you have done would be appreciated.
