756 310 German antifreeze in oil source

I have my 310 German Diesel tore down due to having spun a rod bearing. When I drained the oil I noticed some antifreeze in the oil. It was green antifreeze, not clear water. There was about 1/2 cup or a bit more antifreeze. After a week of thinking about it, I figured it was a cavitation issue with a sleeve, I then prepared myself (and my wallet) for a full teardown and overhaul. I now have the engine tore down right to the bare block, however the sleeves are still in the block. I filled the water jacket full of antifreeze 2 days ago and placed clean cardboard on the floor under the block which is on the engine stand. After 2 days, there is no antifreeze on the cardboard. I am wondering where else the antifreeze could have entered the oil at? or is the reason for no leakage due to the system not being pressurized?

I am wondering what I should do now. Should I still remove and replace the sleeves being that I have it tore down? or should I leave the sleeves in and look elsewhere for the point of antifreeze entry into the oil. Where else should I be looking for leakage? Can this happen in the head?
I understand the engine oil cooler can cause this as well. Any other places that I should be looking at closer??

Thanks for any help that you may be able to offer.

The reason for your spun bearing is the antifreeze.Knock the sleeves out and you will find they will be pitted wear the o-ring seals the sleave. They might not be ate through but leaking past the o-rings.Those sleaves knock in and out very easy.Prepare your wallet germans are pricey to o/h and time you get all the machine work done as in head work getting your rods rebushed and resized it will be an expensive rebuild. If your oil cooler is bad it will fill the rad full of oil because you have more oil psi than cooling system psi.

Hi, it is most likely the O-rings on the sleeves that are leaking. If the head had still been on you could have pressurized the coolant. The other times they will leak is when the block gets cold(below freezing).

Any evidence on the block or head surface of the head gasket leaking from the cooling passages into the cylinders?

Sleeve o-rings are leaking. On the 310 there is only one sealing ring per sleeve and they deteriorate with time. BTW the 310 in a 756 has no oil cooler.

Do not know those diesels.
On my Super A (wet sleeves), which was leaking coolant into the crankcase, I could not find the leak by simply filling the water jacket with water (head was off).
I fabbed a 1/4 inch thick rubber gasket to replace the head gasket for pressure/leakage testing. (Made holes for the studs and one water passage only and used the old head gasket for a pattern.)
With this rubber gasket, I put the head on. Fabbed an adapter to the engine head water inlet to receive my garden hose coupler and blocked the water outlet of the engine block. Filled it with water and let the air escape. Then attached the garden hose and let it sit. Only then I found the leaking sleeve O-ring.
