Jerky IH 2000 Loader

Hey guys! Just looked at another IH 606 utility with 2000 loader tonight. When you lift the loader about 2 or 3 feet off the ground, it slowly continues to go up but is jerky and the large diameter hydraulic hose on the left side of the transmission housing gets a loud buzz. I'm guessing its just low on fluid or a plugged filter...what do you guys think? Thanks!

we have a JD 2440 with a 145 loader that does same thing from low fluid. Add a gallon (or two: sometimes) and it works fine.

had the same thing on my 606 added 2 gal of hy tran works good now

The noise is the pump starving for oil. So yes, low oil or plugged filter. Or both. The filter is on the suction side so important to keep serviced.

Hopefully you or the seller haven't sat there pulling on the lever and scratching your head over what could be wrong, because if you did, you burned up the pump...
