I decided to buy a hydraulic valve for my 340 loader that had a float setting. Now picture this; looking at the hydraulic valve from the top. On the left side is the in port that comes from the hydraulic pump. On top of the valve body is the four work ports that goes to the cylinders. Now on the right side there is an out port that is called the power beyond port that goes to the control valve, in front of the shift lever, that controls the fast hitch cylinder. Then on the right side there is a return port that goes to the hydraulic reservoir (transmission). My new valve has all of this, but in order to use the out port as a power beyond port I have to purchase a power beyond sleeve to make this work. My question is, why can't I plumb the pressure hose for the fast hitch into the hose from the pump that attaches to the left side of the hydraulic valve?
